Cadenza is an interdisciplinary venture development company. We build and grow companies across different industries that expand the options people have for how they live.
Who said you were required to fit the thing instead of the thing fitting you?
Cadenza started with the misfits. The people who looked at the options in front of them and realized none of them quite fit. Too often, we're taught that means something is wrong with us. So we squeeze ourselves into what's available. We make do. We follow paths somebody else decided made sense.
But what if you're not the problem? What if you just need more options?
In music, a cadenza is the moment the performer steps out of the written score and makes the music their own. They know the composition. They know what's expected. And then they step forward and say: this is how I play it. This is what I hear. This is how I choose to show up.
That's why we're Cadenza.
We build and grow companies that give people more ways to have that moment in their own lives. More ways to choose what fits. More ways to create what doesn't exist yet. More ways to say, this is how I want to do it.
Because there isn't one right way to build a life. And somebody else's answer doesn't have to become yours.
It's your life. How do you want to live it?
A portfolio built across disciplines.
Knowledge, skills, resources, and practical tools for greater self-sufficiency. The People's Pride Project builds access to education people can use, with a long-range vision that includes expanded programming and, eventually, a school.
Cadenza's publishing imprint for books, audio, digital, and literary works across formats. The Press develops original projects with room to grow into additional titles, voices, and expressions.
A Cadenza-owned podcast hosted by Sheena M. Schuler, built around candid conversations that cross culture, spirituality, relationships, identity, power, and the complicated shit people actually talk about when nobody is polishing the answer.
Full-service event planning, design, décor, and catering from concept through execution. Crucial Element creates custom events and celebrations, handling the details that bring the entire experience together.
Candles, incense, smoke blends, spiritual baths, teas, and other products created for personal and spiritual practice.
Custom cakes, wedding cakes, specialty desserts, dessert buffets, tablescapes, and sculptural installations built for weddings, celebrations, and special events.
The industries change. The principle doesn't. Your options don't end with what already exists. Cadenza keeps answering the question: How do you want to live?
Sheena M. Schuler founded Cadenza Creative Group from questions she has spent much of her life navigating: What happens when you don't fit? How do you function in spaces that were never designed for you? What happens when you stop trying to play by other people's rules?
An author, speaker, practitioner, and entrepreneur, Sheena stopped treating fitting as the objective and started building around a different possibility: what if the things we create made more room for people as they actually are?
That thinking became Cadenza, an interdisciplinary venture development company built to expand the options people have for how they live. Because once fitting is no longer the goal, a much more interesting question becomes possible:
How do you want to live?
